V for Vendetta II:
In page 9 there are 8 different panels which all have a special meaning and represent something. Every panel is there to make something clear. The cartoon has a really dark colour what then, also is linked to a old novel which was made quite far in the past, other times. The speech contains a lot of text mostly to introduce the topic to the reader, because when they only include the pictures does understand where the author is talking about.
With the first 4 panels of the page. The author wants to make clear that government controls everything what it’s citizens do. They author wants to create a dystopian world where there are only happening bad things, which then of course means that is the exact opposite of utopian world/literature. In the next three panels they introduce the 15 year old prostitue, this is also this not seen as a good thing in our society. Another example of a dystopian world.
In the first page their are some stylistic and structural features, however it is really minimal when you compare to other pages of the graphic novel. In this first page they try to introduce the topic and the diffuculties in the society, so do not want make it more lively in any shape or form. When you do not use to sophisticated language, the topic is easy undertands. This will also, make that the audience wants to read the rest, because they think there are, also some other serious accidents happening.
