V’s actions

Are v’s actions justice or vendetta:

Is it ok to fight fire with fire. This saying has something to do with the actions of V in the book V from Vendetta. The further question that can be asked, if V’s actions are justice of Vendetta. Justice is when you do something back and what is right for the laws and you are doing something which mostly feels morally right. Vendetta is when you want to get revenge someone, when you hate someone you want to do something horrible.

Firstly, V does not like the government where he is living under. This government is fascist which means that citizens do not have the freedom to say or believe in what they want and there are ideas are forced on them. When they do not participate they will be send to concentration camp. You can see that there is a correlation between the Nazi’s, for example they both use the salute to greet their dictator/ president.

Secondly, At the start of the novel V blows up the parliament house up, where the government is sitting in.  V’s actions can be described in the category Vendetta, because he really hates the government and he wants to do something horrible back. This cannot be classified as justice, because the government will not put his house in fire. However, that V saved the girl who was taken by finger men and would be killed and interfered. After, this he killed 3 of the 5 finger men. This can be classified as justice, because he did the exact same thing as the finger would to the girl.

V sees himself as a morality right character. He feels that he does the right thing revolting against the government with violence. Mostly, this is morally right, because the government also uses violence against his citizens and why can’t he does the exact same way to them. When you think more this justice, because not only does this due to the fact that he hates the government, but for the sake of the country he is living in himself.

Overall, I feel that most of V’s actions are morally right, because he of course also hates the government and wants to get revenge on them. His most important achievement in his regards with this are that he wants to create a better country and better society to live in.
